Indicated in adults for the treatment of moderate and severe infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including respiratory tract infections and infections (complicated and uncomplicated) of the lower and upper urinary tract, skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis and biliary infections. Indicated in adults for the treatment of patients with bacteremia that occurs in association, or is suspected to be associated, with any of the infections listed above, including febrile episodes in immunocompromised patients.
